This week’s “Focus on the Faculty & Staff” staff member is Mrs. Van Eps! Position: Junior High Administrative Assistant Hometown and HS graduated from: Pacific Grove High School in Pacific Grove, California Career Experience: My degree is in Education. I also have my Master’s in Education. I taught JH and HS English, and worked in reading intervention before starting my job at BACS four years ago. Testimony: I knew the Lord from an early age, and I asked Him into my life when I was six. But it wasn’t until after the death of someone close to me, when I was 17, that I really felt the Lord’s call on my life! Family, hobbies, fun facts, etc.: I’ve been married to my husband Jeff for almost 20 years. We have three kids - Harper 17, Luke 15 and Georgia Bo 10. I love to read! Most of my time is spent watching my kids play sports, which I love. Why do you love working at Bay Area Christian School? I love the community at BACS! My coworkers are so fun, I love being friends with my kids’ teachers, and I love getting to see my kids everyday. We love you, Mrs. Van Eps! 🐴❤️

This throwback Thursday we are looking back at our chapel and how it has grown and flourished! Though our chapel has gone through some design changes, it continues to remain one of our most significant parts of the week. 🐴🎉

Today was our first Chapel Wednesday of the new year! Bay Area Church’s Student Minister, Kyle Backhus taught us that Jesus is fully worthy of our devotion and surrender. He left us with three challenges: 1. Rejoice in God’s overwhelming grace to you in Jesus! 2. Devote yourself fully to the Lord, even if it doesn’t make sense to other people! 3. Ask God to form a heart of worship in you that is willing to surrender all things to Him in joy. This is where life is found!

Congratulations to Sarah Tousley and Ella Pereira for representing BACS in the TPSMEA Region 3 Treble Choir and to Kaelyn Uffort and Caleb Morrison for participating in the Mixed Choir on January 11th. Both choirs performed beautifully!
