December 5 Head of School Weekly Update

Dear BACS Family,

On December 4th, 1887, Bay Area Church was founded and yesterday marked this special anniversary.  Although the name and location have changed a few times over 137 years, God’s goodness and provision have remained constant.  It’s humbling to think of how this church has served League City and the surrounding communities for generations, often in ways that we’ll never fully know.  

As we reflect on the past, I’m especially grateful for the pastors and families who, 52 years ago, stepped out in faith and courage to establish Bay Area Christian School. Today, with 960 students and over 100 faculty and staff, we continue to see God’s faithfulness. He has equipped and sustained this church and school, and I’m excited to see what He has in store as we look ahead to 2025.

December is a full and exciting month!  Here are some important updates and information:  

Fun Run- Thank you for your generosity and support in the Fun Run.  We hit our goal of over $175,000!  There’s still time to give to the Annual Fund. If you or someone you know would like to give to support our school, please click here. 

Jingle Jam- Tomorrow night, December 6th,  at 7:00 pm we will gather in the Worship Center for Jingle Jam. Bring the entire family for a night full of fun and filled with hope of Christ. Hosted by our Bay Area Church KidMin team, your kids will love this time together. 

Fine Arts Christmas Concert- Please join us on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center as we celebrate the birth of our Savior and watch our talented students perform.

Semester Exams- Exams will take place the week of December 16th.  December 17th-20th secondary students will dismiss at 11:10 am and Friday, the 20th, is a half-day campus-wide.  We will not have after-school childcare on December 20th.  Please be on the lookout for more information and details from your students' divisional office.
