October 24 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on October 24, 2024

Dear BACS Family,

As the second quarter begins, I’d like to highlight a few important reminders. Our academic programs, athletics, fine arts, and clubs are in full swing. Congratulations to our HS Band for their strong performance in Waco at the TAPPS State Marching Competition this past week! Meanwhile, our 6th-grade students, teachers, and parents are in the middle of their three-day retreat at Camp Olympia, just one of the many unique experiences our students enjoy.

With everything going on, we strive to communicate effectively, but it’s always helpful to stay updated through the Bronco Weekly News, HoS Weekly Update, The Social Herd, and any announcements or emails you receive. The first quarter has been full of wonderful experiences, and as we enter the second quarter, there are even more exciting events and opportunities on the horizon.

Here are a few important reminders for the weeks ahead:

  • Kindergarten registration for 2025-2026 is underway.

  • Winter sports are gearing up, including JH/HS soccer, JH/HS basketball, JH/HS swim, and boys’ JH/HS wrestling, all while our fall sports teams continue to push for a strong finish to their seasons.

  • Our Annual Fund has officially kicked off, and here are some key details:

    • Our School Board has pledged over $10,000 to set the pace!

    • Our BACS faculty and staff are aiming for 100% participation.

    • Proceeds from the Elementary Fund Run will be applied to the Annual Fund.

    • Families not involved in the Fund Run are invited to contribute towards our goal. Remember, we do not sell candy, cookies, popcorn, or gift wrap, so this is an excellent opportunity to support our Broncos!

All contributions are tax-deductible and can be submitted by check or online before the end of the year. For checks, please write “Annual Fund” in the memo line, and to give online, click here. For more details, please contact the Admin Office at  .

In closing, it was wonderful seeing so many guests on campus yesterday for chapel. I’m glad you had the chance to witness our students leading in worship. It fills me with joy to know this is the next generation of leaders on our campus and in society.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
