November 14 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on November 14, 2024

Dear BACS Family,

In Psalm 119:9-11, the psalmist states, “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”

When I moved to League City in August 2013 and began to learn the culture of BACS, one of the unique aspects that stood out to me was the amount of Scripture our students learned and the emphasis placed on its importance. To this day, I am impressed and grateful that our school remains committed to prioritizing Scripture memorization. Alumni often share how these verses have stayed with them long after graduation, and parents have shared how studying this month's Red Star has given them peace, knowing that their children have God’s Word hidden in their hearts. These wonderful testimonies remind us of the importance of continuing these practices that began decades ago.

Memorizing truth helps us know God, obey Him, find delight in His promises, and guides us through life’s difficulties. Above all, God’s Word transforms our lives and our thinking.

Thank you for partnering with us in raising the next generation of students. We hope, above all, that they will become a passionate generation of hearing and obeying God.

Finally, thank you for supporting us in reaching our Fun Run goal! We had a great time celebrating this milestone yesterday. I am so grateful for our teachers, who put on quite a show for our elementary students. Our teachers are truly the best, and we are blessed to have them serving at BACS!

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
