January 17 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on January 17, 2025

Dear BACS Family,

I pray that 2025 is off to a wonderful start for you and your household! With the frigid forecasts and ever-changing Texas weather, we are staying weather-aware. Please keep an eye on the BACS social media pages and FACTS alerts for any updates. If there are changes to the school schedule, we’ll notify you through these platforms.

As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, January 20th, as we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

I would also like to personally invite at least one member from each family to attend our annual State of the School Address and Preview Night on Monday, January 27th at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. This one-hour event will provide a snapshot of the incredible happenings at BACS and a look ahead to what’s planned for the 2025-2026 school year.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to win a variety of discounts on next year’s tuition and fees! Remember, you must be present to be eligible for the drawing. I hope you’ll make time to join us—you’ll leave encouraged and inspired by how God is working at BACS and in the lives of our exceptional students and teachers.

After the event, teachers and administrators will be available to meet prospective families as part of the Preview Night portion of the evening. If you know of a family considering BACS, please invite them to this special event.

As we close a great week of school, I was recently in Proverbs 4 of my scripture reading.  Proverbs 4:3-5 says, "When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, he taught me and said to me, 'Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.'”

This passage highlights the generational influence of faith, with wisdom and understanding being passed from a grandfather to a father and then to a son. It reminds us of our calling to encourage our children to pursue wisdom and understanding rooted in God’s truth.

As we begin this new year, we are excited to partner with you in the important work of guiding this generation toward true wisdom and knowledge, firmly grounded in God’s Word.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
