August 29 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on August 29, 2024

Dear BACS Family,

Earlier this week I was listening to my oldest son recite August Red Star scripture from the Book of Job.  While this is a passage I’m familiar with, it served as a humbling reminder of man’s limited ability.  Throughout Job 38-42 God questions Job, however, these questions aren’t solely intended to highlight man’s weaknesses and narrow perspective, more importantly, they reveal God’s unlimited power and perfect wisdom.  We’ll never grasp what it’s like to have perfect wisdom.  Simply put, God’s knowledge, wisdom, and power are perfect and His ways and thoughts are higher than ours.

On this campus we believe it’s our duty, along with the parents, to guide our students to grow in knowledge, walk with them through experiences, and guide them in shaping their perspective and worldview that points towards God and His truth that he gives through Scripture.  We count it a joy to be able to do this on these 48 acres and to partner with families in Kingdom education.

Tomorrow marks the end of an exciting and busy week and the beginning of a long Labor Day weekend.  On Tuesday we welcomed back over 100 part-time preschool students, and tomorrow we’ll wrap up the week with our first pep rally of the year, followed by the first home football game of the season.  We are thrilled to invite all of our K-2 families back to campus tomorrow evening for Friday Night Lights.  It’s always a joy to watch those students run through the tunnel and lead our Broncos onto the field.

As we break for the Labor Day weekend, remember that your child is loved.  May you have an enjoyable holiday weekend, and may God bless you greatly!  And remember, it’s always a great day to be a Bronco!
